Placement Exams

July 30, 2022

Required: WQLRA

All incoming students must complete the Williams Quantitative Literacy and Reasoning Assessment (WQLRA). While WQLRA is not a placement test, the scores help us identify students who may need additional support in mathematics as well as those who may need additional advising before enrolling in quantitative courses. Please take the WQLRA by July 15, 2022.

Placement Exams – Dates & Information

Several academic departments require placement exams so that you can be placed in the appropriate course. We update this information as departments finalize their own requirements, but you should bookmark this site and monitor it regularly. Feel free to reach out to department heads if you have any questions. You should aim to take any placement exam as soon as it becomes available.

Don’t forget your housing preferences!

First-Year housing information can be found on our website – as well as within our annual Bell Book. To submit your preferences, log in to your Housing Portal and fill out the First-Year Application: you’ll be able to tell us about yourself and your interests and, if applicable, submit a request for housing accommodations. Applications are due this Friday, July 1, at noon.
